Dates and Deadlines
DEADLINES: ADMISSION
The Graduate Admission Bulletin, which contains your application materials, will be mailed to you under separate cover. In addition to these materials, the Department of Marine Science requires the enclosed "Applicant's Academic Background - Course Work Summary" and "Supplemental Information" sheets. All of these materials must be received:
NO LATER THAN
DECEMBER 1, for admission in the SUMMER SESSION
DECEMBER 1, for admission in FALL SEMESTER
Please mail your Application form, official transcripts, GRE test scores, and Application Fee to:

DEADLINES: TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIPS
To be considered for a teaching assistantship for the academic year, all of the above materials must be received by
DECEMBER 1. Applications completed after that date will be considered for an alternate list.
You must register to take the GRE approximately five to six weeks before the specific examination date. For the exact registration deadlines, please contact:

Please be aware that a minimum of six weeks will pass between the time you take the GRE test and the time your score will be sent to The University of Texas and it is not uncommon for the transcripts of your previous college course work to arrive four to eight weeks after you order them from your former school.
BECAUSE THE APPLICATION PROCESS IS BOTH EXPENSIVE AND TIME CONSUMING, AN EARLY START IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
