NOAA Chief of Staff, Scott Rayder visits the Mission-Aransas NERR

On October 11, 2007, the Mission-Aransas NERR and Texas Sea Grant hosted a constituent roundtable and public forum with NOAA Chief of Staff, Scott Rayder. 

The round constituent roundtable and public forum is part of NOAA's mission to deliver excellence in environmental, coastal, and ocean stewardship. Mr. Rayder discussed NOAA’s development of  relevant programs within the agency and talked about how participants can use NOAA information and products in your current operations and future projections. 

The roundtable was attended by representatives from non-profit organizations, industry, state agencies, universities, and elected officials (including a representative from Congressman Solomon Ortiz's office).  Approximately 40 participants attended the public forum where a lively back and forth discussion and exchange of ideas and opinions occurred.
